APPLICATION PROCESS FOR COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY FINAL EXAMINATIONS / NVQ LEVEL 5 WRITTEN EXAMINATIONS
● Students will be informed for submitting exam applications for the relevant time duration.
● Applicants have to submit their duly filled applications for the evaluation branch of the College of Technology.
● If applicants are entitled for charges, payment should be done for the Bank of Ceylon and Receipt should be submitted for the Shroff of the COT. The Shroff will be issued a receipt which should be attached with the exam application.

● Examination fees will be charged as follows,
o All full time applicants will be free of charge for the 1st attempt. For all other attempts charges as follows,
NCECP (Gas & Arc Welder) / NCECP (Wood) / NCECP (Plumbing) / Machinist

• For one subject – 30/=
• For two or more subjects – 70/=
National Certificate in Engineering Draughtsmanship
• For whole exam – 250/=
• For one subject – 80/=
• For two subjects – 160/=
• For three or more subjects – 250/=
All other NVQ 3 & 4 Courses & Diploma in Accounting
• For whole exam – 130/=
• For one subject – 40/=
• For two subjects – 80=
• For three or more subjects – 130/=
All NVQ 5 courses
• For whole exam – 250/=

• For two subjects – 160/=
• For three or more subjects – 250/=
o ALL part time applicants will be charged as follows,
All applicants for NCT (National Certificate Technology) examinations & NVQ 5 part time courses will be charged for the 1st attempt also. Charges as follows,

-Eligibility for the examination will be measured by
o Daily attendance
o Completion of continuous assessment marks.
The admission cards will be issued for all eligible students
RE-CORRECTIONS FOR RESULTS
- If a student wants to apply for re-corrections,
- Deposit charges into the Bank of Ceylon

-STUDENTS WHO QUALIFIED FROM THE TECHNICAL COLLEGE FINAL EXAMINATION / NVQ LEVEL 5/6 WRITTEN EXAMINATION WILL BE AWARDED THE CERTIFICATE FROM THE DEPARTMENT AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION TRAINING.
-FOR DIPLOMA HOLDERS (STUDENTS WHO COMPLETED NVQ 5/6 COURSES) THE ABOVE CERTIFICATE WILL BE AWARDED IN THE ANNUAL CONVOCATION OF DTET
NVQ ASSESSMENT APPLICATION PROCESS
For qualified for the National Vocational Qualification students should pass the NVQ assessments. Those assessments are coordinated by the College of Technology as per the directions and under the supervision of the DTET and TVEC.
Eligibility for the NVQ assessments
Should be complete the course and the 6-month OJT period
For NVQ 5/6 courses, students must be qualified the NVQ level 5/6 written exam (all semesters) conducted by the DTET.
When the relevant batch is qualified for the assessment College of Technology coordinate the assessment and it will examine by the licensed assessor of the TVEC.
For following courses students must pass the Knowledge Assessment conducted by the TVEC to obtain the relevant NVQ level.

National Certificate in Engineering Craft Practice (Motor Vehicle Mechanic)
National Certificate in Engineering Craft Practice (Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanic)
Certificate for Information and Communication Technology Technician
Certificate for Quantity Survey Assistants
National Certificate in Engineering Draughtsmanship
National Certificate for Construction Site Supervisors
When qualified from the NVQ assessment students can collect the NVQ certificate from the College of Technology.
